Refund, Returns & Cancellation Policy

This Refund, Returns & Cancellation Policy explains how Simran Kitab Ghar handles order cancellations, damaged or incorrect products, returns and approved refunds.

1. Order Cancellations

If you need to cancel or change an order, contact us as soon as possible after placing it. We will try to help if processing or dispatch has not begun, but a cancellation cannot be guaranteed once fulfilment has started.

Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled as an unshipped order. Any issue with a dispatched order will be handled under the relevant sections of this policy.

2. Change-of-Mind Returns

We do not normally accept returns or provide refunds for correctly supplied, undamaged physical books after they have been dispatched simply because the customer changed their mind, ordered the wrong title or no longer wants the product.

This restriction does not apply to an incorrect, damaged, defective or confirmed lost order, or where a return or refund is required under applicable consumer law.

3. Damaged, Defective, Missing or Incorrect Products

Please inspect your order after delivery. Report a damaged, defective, missing or incorrect product within 48 hours of delivery whenever reasonably possible.

Please provide:

Your full name and order number
A clear description of the problem
Photographs of the outer packaging and shipping label
Photographs of the damaged or incorrect product
Any other information reasonably required to investigate the issue

Please keep the product, packaging and shipping materials until we have completed our review. Do not return a product without receiving return instructions from us.

After reviewing the claim, Simran Kitab Ghar may provide a replacement, refund or another appropriate solution depending on the circumstances, product availability and applicable consumer law.

4. Delayed or Lost Parcels

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed dates. If your parcel has not arrived within seven days after the estimated delivery window has ended, contact us with your order number and tracking number.

We will open an investigation with the courier where appropriate. A replacement or refund for a confirmed lost parcel will be considered after the courier investigation is completed.

5. Return Authorization

All returns require approval from Simran Kitab Ghar. If a return is approved, we will provide the return instructions and, where applicable, the return address. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.

Unless the product was supplied incorrectly, damaged or defective, any approved return must be unused and in the condition in which it was received.

6. Return Shipping Costs

When a return is approved because Simran Kitab Ghar supplied an incorrect, damaged or defective product, we will explain the authorized return-shipping arrangement.

Original shipping charges, return shipping charges, customs duties and other delivery-related costs are normally non-refundable unless the problem resulted from our error, the parcel was confirmed lost, we specifically approve the refund, or applicable law requires otherwise.

7. Exchanges and Replacements

We do not provide general change-of-mind exchanges. However, a replacement may be offered for an incorrect, damaged or defective product when the same product is available.

If a replacement is not available, we may provide an approved refund or another appropriate resolution.

8. Approved Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. We normally initiate an approved refund within 5–7 business days after cancellation approval or, where a return is required, after the returned product has been received and inspected.

Banks and payment providers may require additional time to display the refund in the customer’s account. Simran Kitab Ghar does not control their processing time.
